OBLQ wants everyone, including people who use assistive technology, to be able to read about our products, request a demo, and use the OBLQ Quote portal. This statement describes what we do to make oblq.ai accessible and how to reach us if something is in your way.
Our standard
We design and build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That is the standard referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice for websites under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the one we test against.
What we do
- Structure: every page has a language declaration, one main heading, landmark regions (header, navigation, main content, footer), and a "Skip to content" link that appears when you press Tab.
- Keyboard: everything that can be clicked can be reached and operated with a keyboard - navigation, the mobile menu, the demo-request dialog (which keeps focus inside it and closes with Escape), the FAQ, and the product screenshot viewer. Focus is always visible.
- Forms: every field has a programmatic label, required fields are marked, and error messages are announced to screen readers.
- Images and icons: meaningful images have text alternatives; decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology.
- Color and contrast: text meets WCAG contrast minimums against its background, and color is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Motion: animations respect the operating-system "reduce motion" setting.
- Text: pages remain usable at 200% zoom and on small screens; text can be resized without loss of content.
Known limitations
- The product screenshot on the OBLQ Quote page is an image of the dashboard; its content is described in text elsewhere on the page and in the image's alternative text, but the individual figures in the image are not readable by a screen reader.
- The insurance carrier portals that OBLQ Quote automates are third-party websites and are outside our control.
