Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the oblq.ai website (the "Site") operated by OBLQ LLC ("OBLQ," "we," "us," or "our"), including the demo-request form and any content on the Site. By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Use of the OBLQ Quote service and customer portal by an agency customer is governed by a separate written agreement between OBLQ and that agency (our Master Subscription Agreement, Order Form, and Data Processing Addendum). If those documents conflict with these Terms, they control for the agency's use of the service.

1. About OBLQ

OBLQ LLC is a California software company. We build software that helps independent insurance agencies do more with the systems they already use. Our current product, OBLQ Quote, prepares property insurance quotes for an agency's leads across the carriers the agency is appointed with.

OBLQ is not an insurance company, insurance agency, broker, producer, or managing general agent. We do not sell, solicit, negotiate, quote, underwrite, or bind insurance, and nothing on the Site is insurance advice or an offer of coverage. Every quote produced with our software is the carrier's quote, issued through the agency's own appointment; eligibility, pricing, and binding are decided by the carrier and the agency.

2. Using the Site

You may use the Site for lawful purposes to learn about OBLQ and to contact us. You agree not to:

  • submit false, misleading, or someone else's information through our forms;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, our systems, or our customers' data;
  • use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools to collect data from the Site, or to submit forms, without our written permission;
  • interfere with the operation or security of the Site; or
  • use the Site to send spam or unlawful communications.

We may suspend or block access to the Site for conduct that violates these Terms.

3. Demo and contact requests

Submitting a demo or contact request is a voluntary inquiry. It does not create a customer relationship, an obligation for OBLQ to provide services, or any agreement other than these Terms. A customer relationship is formed only by a written agreement signed by both parties. Information you submit is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

By submitting a request you agree that we may contact you by email and phone about your request. Text messaging is covered in Section 4.

4. Text messaging (SMS) terms

If you provide a mobile number and agree to receive text messages, the following applies:

  • Program: OBLQ may send text messages about your demo request, scheduling, and related follow-up. Messages are sent by OBLQ or a service provider acting for us.
  • Frequency: message frequency varies; typically a few messages around a demo request.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply according to your carrier plan.
  • Opt out: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts unless you opt in again.
  • Help: reply HELP for help, or email [email protected].
  • Consent is not a condition of purchase of any product or service.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Privacy: mobile numbers and opt-in information are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual property

The Site and its content - text, graphics, design, logos, product names, software, and the OBLQ and OBLQ Quote marks - are owned by OBLQ LLC or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your own evaluation of our services. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content, or use our marks, without our prior written permission.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty- free license to use them without obligation to you.

The Site uses third-party services to operate (for example Cloudflare for hosting and bot protection). Our customer portal uses Supabase for authentication and Stripe for billing; use of those features is also subject to those providers' terms. The Site may link to third-party websites; we do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

7. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that information on it is complete, accurate, or current.

Statistics and results described on the Site (for example premiums quoted or time saved) are drawn from our customers' actual use of the service and are provided for information; they are not a promise of results for any particular agency. Product capabilities described on the Site are subject to the written agreement with each customer and may change.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OBLQ LLC and its members, managers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will not exceed one hundred dollars (USD 100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Liability related to the OBLQ Quote service is governed by the customer's written agreement, not by this Section.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OBLQ LLC from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page and its effective date. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
